History
Football in Shillong would look thinner without sides like Shillong Lajong FC. Founded in 1983, it has had enough time to collect memories, nicknames and small legends. I-League has been the league home for large stretches of their recent history. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is where the colours gather. Capacity sits near 30,000, and on a good afternoon it still feels intimate. People who love the game for its texture — not only its trophies — will recognise Shillong Lajong FC immediately.
