History
Football in Chennai would look thinner without sides like Chennai City FC. The club dates back to 2016, a year that still anchors how older fans talk about its beginnings. Division status can change from one campaign to the next, but the badge stays the same. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is where the colours gather. Capacity sits near 40,000, and on a good afternoon it still feels intimate. People who love the game for its texture — not only its trophies — will recognise Chennai City FC immediately.
