History
FC Barreirense, founded in 1911 in Barreiro, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as the Barreirenses, it collected district titles and national-league spells from the south bank. Rivalry with Fabril e os vizinhos do Barreiro and a red and white identity shape fans and narrative. Estádio Municipal do Barreiro, local support and Barreiro's municipal ground as a shared city home sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
