History

Cova da Piedade, founded in 1947 in Cova da Piedade, Almada, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as the Piedenses, it collected promotions to LigaPro and a national cycle at José Martins Vieira. Rivalry with os clubes de Almada e da Margem Sul and a green and red identity shape fans and narrative. Estádio Municipal José Martins Vieira, local support and the Liga 2 years on the south bank of the Tagus sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals.
