Crest meaning
Atlético Mineiro's crest features black-and-white stripes and the lone star associated with the Galo, a symbol of Minas tradition. The colours represent Belo Horizonte identity. The shield summarises more than a century of alvinegro passion and national and continental standing, without inventing heraldic elements alien to the badge.
