Significado do emblema
Atlético Mineiro's crest features black-and-white stripes and the lone star associated with the Galo, a symbol of Minas tradition. The colours represent Belo Horizonte identity. The shield summarises more than a century of alvinegro passion and national and continental standing, without inventing heraldic elements alien to the badge.

História
Clube Atlético Mineiro was founded in 1908 in Belo Horizonte and is one of Minas Gerais's major clubs, with Brazilian titles, Copas do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores. Arena MRV is the Galo's contemporary home. Black and white identify Atlético; the clássico with Cruzeiro structures the Mineiro rivalry. Title tradition, large support and national presence mark alvinegro identity across more than a century of Brazilian football. The club maintains a professional structure, player development and a regular calendar in the main competitions. Members and supporters sustain collective identity.
