História
Sporting Clube da Praia, founded in 1922 in Praia, Santiago, competes in national football with a marked continental presence. Known as Sporting da Praia, it collected the 1922 identity in the Cape Verdean national championship and Estadio da Varzea (about 8,000). Rivalry with os clubes do Campeonato Nacional and a green and white identity shape fans and narrative. Estádio da Várzea, local support and Estadio da Varzea sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals.
