PFC Botev Plovdiv, founded in 1912 in Plovdiv, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as the Canaries / Kanarchetata, it collected Bulgarian Cups (including 1962, 1981, 2017 and 2024) and the 1962–63 Cup Winners' Cup quarter-finals.
