Hobro IK, founded in 1913 in Hobro, Jutland, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Hobro / the Yellows, it collected promotion to the Danish Superliga in 2013–14 (1–0 vs Brønshøj on 1 June 2014) and top-flight cycles through 2020.
