History
York SC is one of those clubs that quietly keep the game alive in Sri Lanka. Since 2000 the name has stayed on team sheets, programmes and dressing-room doors. Outside the spotlight of the biggest leagues, that rhythm of grind and pride is the whole point. When York SC play at Estádio municipal, the stands hold roughly 5,000 — numbers that matter less than the noise the regulars make. Write the history in big headlines or in quiet paragraphs; either way, York SC belongs to Kandy, Sri Lanka.
