History
SD Ponferradina, founded in 1922 in Ponferrada, El Bierzo, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as la Ponfe / the Bercianos, it collected Segunda cycles and El Toralín in Ponferrada. Rivalry with os clubes de Castela e Leão and a blue and white identity shape fans and narrative. El Toralín, local support and El Toralín sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
