History
Pointe-aux-Sables Mates SC belongs to Pointe-aux-Sables, Mauritius the way a neighbourhood pitch belongs to its streets. Going back to 2010, the side has seen the game change around it while keeping a local core. Most seasons they line up in Mauritian Premier League, where results swing between hope and hard lessons. Home games are tied to Stade George V, a ground listed around 6,000 seats — big enough to roar, small enough to feel close. Strip away the big-club noise and sides like Pointe-aux-Sables Mates SC are why the sport still feels close to the ground.
