History
Petone FC is one of those clubs that quietly keep the game alive in New Zealand. Whatever the precise start date, Petone FC feels woven into the sporting habits of Petone. Central League has been the league home for large stretches of their recent history. When Petone FC play at Memorial Park, the stands hold roughly 2,000 — numbers that matter less than the noise the regulars make. That mix of place, patience and belonging is what makes Petone FC matter beyond the final score.
