History
Oldham Athletic is one of those clubs that quietly keep the game alive in England. Founded in 1990, it has had enough time to collect memories, nicknames and small legends. National League has been the league home for large stretches of their recent history. When Oldham Athletic play at Estádio municipal, the stands hold roughly 5,000 — numbers that matter less than the noise the regulars make. That mix of place, patience and belonging is what makes Oldham Athletic matter beyond the final score.
