History
Hammarby IF, founded in 1897 in Stockholm, is one of the Allsvenskan most passionate bases. Known as Bajen, it won the Swedish title and lives derbies with Djurgården and AIK. Tele2 Arena, green-and-white support and Södermalm fan culture sustain identity. Twenty-first-century competitive cycles consolidated the club in Swedish football. Modern management and popular roots define the contemporary capital project. The sporting project balances competitive ambition with youth development and city ties. Local identity and a results culture continue to shape the contemporary path.
