History

GKS Bełchatów, founded in 1977 in Bełchatów, Łódź Voivodeship, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Gieksa, it collected the 2009–10 Ekstraklasa runners-up finish, the mining identity and GIEKSA Arena; now in the III liga. Rivalry with os clubes de Łódź and a green, black and white identity shape fans and narrative. GIEKSA Arena, local support and GIEKSA Arena sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
