History
FC Thun, founded in 1898, is Thun and the Bernese Oberland Super League reference in Switzerland. Known as the Thuners, it enjoyed memorable European campaigns and cycles between the elite and Challenge League. Stockhorn Arena, red-and-white support and regional youth work sustain identity. Cantonal rivalries and fighting spirit marked generations. Prudent management and community ties consolidated the club in contemporary Helvetic football against better-funded rivals. The sporting project balances competitive ambition with youth development and city ties.
