History

Cowdenbeath FC, founded in 1881 in Cowdenbeath, Fife, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as the Blue Brazil / the Miners, it collected foundation in 1881 (Fife's oldest surviving club), Scottish Division One cycles (1924–34 and 1970–71) and Central Park since 1917 (also a stock-car track). Rivalry with Dunfermline, Raith Rovers e os clubes da Lowland League and a blue and white identity shape fans and narrative. Central Park, local support and Central Park sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals.
