History
City FC started as a local answer to a simple need: a team for Abu Dhabi to call its own. Its foundation year, 1990, places it among the clubs that helped shape organised football in the area. Their usual stage is Division 1, a competition that rewards consistency more than glamour. When City FC play at Estádio municipal, the stands hold roughly 5,000 — numbers that matter less than the noise the regulars make. Write the history in big headlines or in quiet paragraphs; either way, City FC belongs to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
