History
CD Leganés, founded in 1928 in Leganés, Community of Madrid, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as el Pepinero, it collected La Liga promotions from Butarque, on Madrid's outskirts. Rivalry with os clubes madrileños da Segunda / Primera and a white and blue identity shape fans and narrative. Butarque, local support and Butarque sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
