Pwllheli FC, founded in 1879 in Pwllheli, Gwynedd, competes in national football with a marked continental presence. Known as Pwllheli, it collected founding in November 1879 (first match vs Porthmadog) and the Recreation Ground / The Rec by the leisure centre (Recreation Road) — not Maes Parc (Penrhyndeudraeth's ground).
