FC Besa, founded in 1925 in Kavajë, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Besa, it collected Albanian Cups in 2006–07 (3–2 vs Teuta) and 2009–10 (2–1 vs Vllaznia after extra time) and Besa Stadium.
