Crest meaning

The Trefelin BGC crest combines green and white with Ynys Park green. The badge marks Port Talbot / Velindre and Tref tradition, distinct from generic filler. The shield summarises triumphs, rivalries and local pride in contemporary football. Colours, mascot and place on the local map keep the badge off an empty template.

History

Trefelin BGC, founded in 1984 in Port Talbot / Velindre, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Tref, it collected the 1984 identity (Velindre Boys & Girls Club; not 1918), the 2000 FAW Trophy (6–2 vs Bryntirion), 2025–26 promotion to the Cymru Premier and Ynys Park — not the «Glenn Roggers Stadium» stub. Rivalry with Afan Lido, Briton Ferry, Carmarthen e os clubes da Cymru South/Premier and a green and white identity shape fans and narrative. Ynys Park, local support and Ynys Park sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals.
