History
Swansea City AFC, founded in 1912 in Swansea and Wales, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Swans, it collected 2013 League Cup, Premier League years and Welsh identity. Rivalry with Cardiff City (South Wales derby) and a white and black identity shape fans and narrative. Swansea.com Stadium, local support and Premier League rise and Swansea.com Stadium sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
