Crest meaning
Napoli's crest features a stylised N on a sky-blue circle, the historic colour linked to the Gulf of Naples and Parthenopean identity. The modern design simplifies earlier versions without abandoning the core colour. It summarises southern Italian pride and azzurro tradition — without attributing flags or lettering that are not part of the current logo.

History
Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli was founded in 1926 and is the major club of Naples and southern Italy. It has won Serie A titles — including the Maradona era of the 1980s and a return to the scudetto in the 2020s — plus domestic cups and European presence. The stadium, renamed Diego Armando Maradona, is the azzurro temple. Sky blue identifies the club; rivalry with northern sides and Parthenopean pride structure collective identity. Financial crises and rebirths mark a history of intense passion and a deep bond with the city and its support base.
