História
Shamakhi FK, founded in 1997 in Shamakhi, competes in national football with a marked continental presence. Known as Şirlər, it collected Khazar University/Inter Baku/Keşlə from 1997 (two titles; Shamakhi FK name in 2022) and Shamakhi City Stadium (about 2,176) — not 1950. Rivalry with Qarabağ, Neftçi, Kapaz e os clubes da Premier League and a black and white identity shape fans and narrative. Shamakhi City Stadium, local support and Shamakhi City Stadium sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals.
