História
Portsmouth FC, founded in 1898 in Portsmouth and the south coast, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Pompey, it collected First Division titles, FA Cups and naval tradition. Rivalry with Southampton (South Coast derby) and a blue and white identity shape fans and narrative. Fratton Park, local support and Pompey and Fratton Park sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
