History
NK Celje, founded in 1919 in Celje, Slovenian Styria, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Grofje, it collected PrvaLiga titles (including 2019–20 and 2023–24) and Stadion Z'dežele. Rivalry with os clubes da PrvaLiga and a yellow and blue identity shape fans and narrative. Stadion Z'dežele, local support and Stadion Z'dežele sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
