Significado do emblema
The current circular crest shows the castle from the arms of Newcastle upon Tyne above waves of the River Tyne, with local heraldic elements — not a lone «winged horse». Black and white reflect the kit and the Magpies nickname. Geordies names the supporters and the regional identity.

História
Founded in 1892 by the merger of Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End, Newcastle United Football Club is the leading club of north-east England. Multiple early-twentieth-century league champions and several-time FA Cup winners, they went long decades without a modern league title before renewing European ambition and domestic cup success in the 2020s (including a League Cup win). Nickname: the Magpies; colours black and white; home at St James' Park in central Newcastle upon Tyne. The rivalry with Sunderland (Tyne–Wear) and Geordie passion define the club’s culture.
