History
New York City FC, founded in 2013 in New York, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as the Boys in Blue, it collected 2021 MLS Cup and Eastern Conference titles. Rivalry with New York Red Bulls and a sky blue and white identity shape fans and narrative. Yankee Stadium, local support and Hudson River Derby and Yankee Stadium sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
