Crest meaning
The crest of New Plymouth Rangers AFC is the picture people know before they know the squad. Colours, lettering and the overall shape do the heavy lifting; nobody needs a lecture to feel what it stands for. Seen that way, the emblem of New Plymouth Rangers AFC is simply the club from New Plymouth, New Zealand, drawn small enough to fit on a chest.

History
If you follow the lower and mid tiers of New Zealand, you will bump into New Plymouth Rangers AFC soon enough. Going back to 1970, the side has seen the game change around it while keeping a local core. Most seasons they line up in Histórico (NZFC / National Soccer League), where results swing between hope and hard lessons. Home games are tied to Yarrow Stadium, a ground listed around 5,000 seats — big enough to roar, small enough to feel close. Strip away the big-club noise and sides like New Plymouth Rangers AFC are why the sport still feels close to the ground.
