History
If you follow the lower and mid tiers of Iraq, you will bump into Nadi Baghdad Al-Riyadhi FC soon enough. The club dates back to 1990, a year that still anchors how older fans talk about its beginnings. In Iraqi Stars League 2023/24 they share the calendar with regional rivals and the occasional surprise cup run. Home games are tied to Estádio municipal, a ground listed around 5,000 seats — big enough to roar, small enough to feel close. Strip away the big-club noise and sides like Nadi Baghdad Al-Riyadhi FC are why the sport still feels close to the ground.
