History
Millwall FC, founded in 1885 in London and Bermondsey/South London, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Lions, it collected FA Cup finals and South London working-class identity. Rivalry with West Ham (Dockers derby) and a blue and white identity shape fans and narrative. The Den, local support and No one likes us and The Den sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
