History
Mezőkövesd-Zsóry SE, founded in 1975 in Mezőkövesd, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Mezőkövesd-Zsóry, it collected foundation on 31 January 1975 (the SE name dates from 1990; Zsóry from 2012), NB I in 2013–14 and from 2016–17 to 2023–24 and Városi Stadion reopened in 2016. Rivalry with Diósgyőr, Kazincbarcika e os clubes da NB II and a yellow and blue identity shape fans and narrative. Mezőkövesdi Városi Stadion, local support and Városi Stadion sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals.
