History
Ask anyone around Borgarnes about local football and Lindar usually comes up sooner or later. Founded in 1919, it has had enough time to collect memories, nicknames and small legends. Some years bring promotion pushes; others are about staying upright and paying the bills. Matchdays revolve around Lindarvöllur (about 500 capacity), with the usual mix of season tickets, walk-ups and family groups. If football is a map of cities and towns, Lindar is one clear pin in Iceland.
