History
There is nothing flashy about the story of Independiente Petrolero, and that is part of its charm. The club dates back to 2008, a year that still anchors how older fans talk about its beginnings. In División Profesional they share the calendar with regional rivals and the occasional surprise cup run. When Independiente Petrolero play at Estadio Olímpico Patria, the stands hold roughly 30,700 — numbers that matter less than the noise the regulars make. Write the history in big headlines or in quiet paragraphs; either way, Independiente Petrolero belongs to Sucre, Bolivia.
