Crest meaning
The crest joins Saint George’s Cross and the four bars of the Catalan Senyera, in the upper quarter, with the blaugrana colours and the FCB initials. The ball and blue-and-garnet stripes mark the sport and the historic kit. Més que un club is the institutional motto — it is not lettered on the badge itself.

History
Founded on 29 November 1899 by Swiss-born Joan Gamper, Futbol Club Barcelona is both a sporting institution and a cultural symbol of Catalonia.
