History
Fortuna Düsseldorf II belongs to Düsseldorf, Germany the way a neighbourhood pitch belongs to its streets. Exact early records are patchy, but the club’s roots sit firmly in organised local football. Most seasons they line up in Regionalliga West, where results swing between hope and hard lessons. Home games are tied to Paul-Janes-Stadion, a ground listed around 7,200 seats — big enough to roar, small enough to feel close. Strip away the big-club noise and sides like Fortuna Düsseldorf II are why the sport still feels close to the ground.
