FK Pohronie, founded in 2016 in Žiar nad Hronom, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as Pohronie, it collected the 2016 identity (kept; regional Hron merger), Fortuna Liga spells and Stadion Pohronie in Žiar nad Hronom. Rivalry with Zlaté Moravce, Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš e os clubes da Fortuna Liga and a yellow and black identity shape fans and narrative. Stadion Pohronie, local support and Stadion Pohronie sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals.
