FC Meshakhte Tkibuli, founded in 1938 in Tkibuli, Imereti, competes in national football with a marked continental presence. Known as Meshakhte, it collected the 1938 founding (not 1997) and Vladimer Bochorishvili Stadium (opened 1968, about 6,000 today).
