History
FC Lorient, founded in 1926 in Lorient and Brittany, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as The Hakes, it collected Ligue 1 promotions, 2002 Coupe de France and Breton identity. Rivalry with Nantes e Brest and a orange and black identity shape fans and narrative. Stade du Moustoir, local support and Atlantic port and Stade du Moustoir sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
