History
FC Carl Zeiss Jena, founded in 1903 in Jena, Thuringia, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as FCC, it collected the 1980–81 Cup Winners' Cup final and Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld. Rivalry with Rot-Weiß Erfurt, no derby da Turíngia and a blue and yellow identity shape fans and narrative. Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld, local support and Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
