History
Ask anyone around Dublin about local football and Drumcondra FC usually comes up sooner or later. Its foundation year, 1928, places it among the clubs that helped shape organised football in the area. Some years bring promotion pushes; others are about staying upright and paying the bills. Matchdays revolve around Dalymount Park (about 3,400 capacity), with the usual mix of season tickets, walk-ups and family groups. If football is a map of cities and towns, Drumcondra FC is one clear pin in Ireland.
