History
Club Atlético Lanús, founded in 1915 in Lanús, asserted itself in the twenty-first century with Argentine titles, the Copa Sudamericana and the Recopa Sudamericana. Garnet and white colours and southern Greater Buenos Aires identity link the club to the Granate. Estadio Ciudad de Lanús (La Fortaleza) hosts supporters; competitive cycles and youth work shaped the modern era. Management and a results culture keep Lanús on the Argentine map. Suburban identity and continental ambition continue to define the club's path in contemporary football. Local identity and the bond with supporters reinforce the club's continuity.
