History
Ceará Sporting Club, founded in 1914 in Fortaleza, is the black-and-white Vozão and historic rival of Fortaleza in the Clássico-Rei. State titles, Série A cycles and national competitions marked the Ceará club across decades. Black and white colours and the star on the crest link the club to local identity and the state flag. Arena Castelão hosts major games; youth work and the supporter base keep Ceará on the Northeast map. Rivalry with Fortaleza and black-and-white culture continue to define the club's path in contemporary Brazilian football. Local identity and the bond with supporters reinforce the club's continuity.
