Carmarthen Town AFC, founded in 1948 in Carmarthen / Caerfyrddin, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as the Old Gold / Hen Aur, it collected the 2005–06 UEFA Cup (5–1 vs Longford Town) and 2007–08 (SK Brann at Richmond Park), the 2001 Intertoto vs AIK and Welsh Premier / Cymru South cycles.
