History
Birmingham City FC, founded in 1875 in Birmingham, Midlands, is a national football reference and a marked continental presence. Known as the Blues, it collected the 2011 League Cup and a long First Division / Premier League history. Rivalry with Aston Villa, no Second City derby and a blue and white identity shape fans and narrative. St Andrew's, local support and St Andrew's sustain the contemporary project. Youth work, management and competitive ambition define the current cycle against historic rivals. The sporting project balances a memory of triumphs with the demands of the modern elite.
