Crest meaning
Arsenal's crest features a cannon, a historic reference to the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich and the Gunners nickname. Red and white are the classic colours. The badge has evolved graphically while keeping the cannon central — not an ornamental motto. It summarises nineteenth-century industrial origins and contemporary north London identity.

History
Arsenal Football Club originated in 1886 among Royal Arsenal workers in Woolwich, south-east London, before moving to Highbury and later the Emirates Stadium. It is one of English football's historic elite clubs, with multiple league titles and FA Cups. The Invincibles season of 2003/04 under Arsène Wenger remains a landmark. A style linked to development and attacking football marks distinct eras. Red and white identify the Gunners; the North London derby with Tottenham structures local rivalry. The club has kept regular European presence in recent decades.
