History
Football in Accrington would look thinner without sides like Accrington FC. The early paperwork may be thin, yet the connection to Accrington is obvious on any matchday. Division status can change from one campaign to the next, but the badge stays the same. Thorneyholme Road is where the colours gather. Capacity sits near 5,000, and on a good afternoon it still feels intimate. People who love the game for its texture — not only its trophies — will recognise Accrington FC immediately.
